AshLyn Young, MA, Marriage & Family Therapist Associate

Marriage, Couples and Family Therapist

I discovered my passion for helping others at a young age. My education and experience has varied throughout the healthcare field, collaborating with a multitude of healthcare professionals.

I am returning to the field of therapy after serving 5 years active duty in the U.S. Navy as a Hospital Corpsman. I enjoy working with children, teens, adults, couples, and families. I have experience working with patients in family medicine and hospice settings with an array of concerns such as grief, anxiety, depression, LGBTQIA+ issues, and life transitions.  I believe people have the ability to reach their optimal growth by offering a safe, trusting environment.  I work from a strength-based, systems approach where every person is part of a system in which they are constantly influencing each other.  People and their environment have the capability for continual growth and change.  I also practice from Experiential Family Therapy and Solution Focused Brief Therapy approaches.  I approach the client(s) as the experts to their lives, and act as a guide to help them navigate obstacles with collaboration and problem solving.

When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my wife and dogs exploring the Pacific Northwest and running.
