Michele Crawley-Withee, MS, LPC, CADC III

Licensed Professional Counselor, Certified Alcohol & Drug Counselor III

I found my passion for helping others when I was working in a domestic violence shelter while in my early 20's. It was during that time I saw so many ways trauma can impact our lives and how powerful therapy can be in helping us overcome negative life experiences. I decided to become a therapist for just that reason, I wanted to be able to help people through those tough times. Since initially entering the field, I have worked in many settings, from a women's inpatient drug and alcohol treatment program to a family rehabilitation program to children's outpatient mental health programs. I specialize in trauma therapies, attachment and relationship work, parenting challenges, substance use issues, domestic violence, anxiety and depression.

I approach therapy from the perspective that people do well when they can. Often there are things in our past or present experiences that may be blocking us from reaching our true potential. I believe that in therapy people can discover their own innate strengths and abilities when given a safe and trusting space to do so. I believe in working alongside my clients in a collaborative approach that is client centered, strengths based, and wrapped in a trauma informed, attachment lens. My hope is to help my clients feel seen, heard, understood, and cared for.  I enjoy working with children, teens, young adults, parents and families. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC III), so I treat both mental health needs as well as substance use issues.

When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with friends and family, reading, hiking, running, and hanging out at sporting events for my children.
